An Aesthetician's POV

In 2004, my world changed forever when I lost my mom to breast cancer at just 54 years old. That loss lit a fire in me, a deep need to understand where carcinogens show up in our daily lives and how I could lower that toxic load, for myself and for others. A year later, I became a licensed aesthetician with a conviction: skincare should never be only about surface beauty. It should be about caring for the body’s largest organ in a way that protects the whole person beneath it.

For years, I worked exclusively with organic skincare. I loved the purity, and my clients did too. But as much as I wanted it to be enough, I saw its limits — especially for women moving through perimenopause and beyond. Organic ingredients alone couldn’t always deliver the firmness, hydration, or renewal their skin needed. And that mattered, not just physically but emotionally. Powerful aging is beautiful, and when your skin feels vibrant and supported, the journey feels lighter, stronger, and more confident.

From the beginning, I also knew that what we put on our skin truly matters. Our skin is designed to protect us, but it also absorbs, sometimes more efficiently than if we ingested the same ingredient. That knowledge has always made me intentional with every single product I’ve touched.

So when Amy and I came together to create Livyond, our mission was crystal clear:

  • Non-toxic and body-loving

  • Non-carcinogenic

  • Not estrogenic (safe for hormone-sensitive bodies)

  • And most importantly, effective

Livyond is where nature meets science. We combine superfruits like soursop, ocean botanicals like sea moss, and plant stem cells with clinically backed actives like hyaluronic acid, peptides, and stabilized Vitamin C. Together, these formulas honor your body while transforming your skin.

Because with Livyond, you don’t have to choose between safety and results. You deserve both, and so did my mom. Her story, and the stories of women like her, are why Livyond exists.
